All shows are subject to availability from the royalty houses that own the rights and/or ASCAP, who owns rights to the music that we employ in non-musical presentations. Lakeland does not produce or condone the production of any shows where royalties and rights are not acknowledged and paid for by the producing organization prior to its presentation.

Member Appreciation / Comedy Night January 17 - Member Appreciation / Comedy Night.  Join us as we ring in the new year at Lakeland and thank all of our members with a night of comedy, free to all members of Lakeland. Start your 2009 off right with laughter especially designed to start our 31st year of great entertainment in the Roanoke Valley!
January 24 - Ambassador's Showcase.  Our young people have organized themselves into a group known as The Lakeland Ambassadors: watch them perform a wide range of entertaining music, dance, and skits, and help them realize their “dream trip” this summer to Broadway!
LOVE Awards February 14 - The L.O.V.E. Awards.  It’s a great evening, modeled after the “Oscars” with awards and highlights from the past year and a preview of this years first show. It’s a wonderful way to say “thank you” to those who have given so much over the past year to entertain you.
February 20, 21, 26**, 27, 28, March 1*, 5**, 6, 7*, 7, 8* - Rogers & Hammerstein's Cinderella.  The timeless enchantment of a magical fairy tale is reborn with the Rodgers & Hammerstein hallmarks of originality, charm, and elegance.
March 27, 28, 29*, April 3, 4, 5*, 10, 11 - Lend Me a Tenor.  This night in September of 1934 is the biggest one in the history of the Cleveland Opera Company, because world-famous tenor Tito Morelli is to perform Otello, his greatest role, at the gala season opener. Through a series of mishaps, “Il Stupendo” is given a double dose of tranquilizers and mistaken for dead – and then the fun ensues! A sensation in London and on Broadway, this show was the surprise hit of Lakeland’s 1999 season! Come see why the critics called it “screamingly funny”!
April 24, 25, May 1, 2, 3*, 8, 9, 10* - One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest. “One of the finest, most meaningful and most moving plays of recent times”, this story centers on Randle P. McMurphy (played by Kirk Douglas on Broadway and Jack Nicholson on film), a new patient in the mental institution where he has contrived to serve a short sentence (instead of jail). Funny, warm, and exciting, this show transforms the audience into one wild cheering section, and is a powerful statement on our treatment of those afflicted by mental health problems, too.
May 16 - 3rd Annual Crab Feed. All you can eat crab legs and all the fixings! A Silent Auction and lots of fun highlight this annual event, so bring your appetite and get ready for good eating!
June 5, 6, 7*, 12, 13, 14*, 19, 29, 21* - Hello Dolly!.  Made famous on Broadway and the movies by Carol Channing, Hello Dolly! is a bubbly and irresistible story of the joy of living, glittering with happy songs, shining with loving scenes, and alive with the personality of one of the most fabulous characters on the musical stage – Dolly Levi! Come and join the fun!
Lakeland Singers June 27 - The Lakeland Singers.  A Patriotic Concert presented by The Lakeland Singers.

July 9, 10, 11*, 12, 17, 18*, 19* - A Midsummer's Night Dream. You’ll love the warmth, humor and just plain silliness of this show! This Shakespearean classic about love and magic is transformed by Lakeland’s “Theatre Kids” into a stunning visual and entertaining event for everyone! We’re setting the show in a tropical rain forest, where magic and hilarity abound as lovers, fairies, and a troop of rustic would-be “actors” get lost while trying to find their heart’s desires – and the way in which they interact will have you laughing so hard you may fall out of your chair!  A production of The Young People’s Theatre Workshop and Kids' Summer Theatre Camp.
August 14, 15, 16*, 21, 22, 23*, 28, 29 - Summer Musical Revue. Four Decades of Vinyl.
September 4, 5, 11, 12, 13*, 18, 19, 20* - Joseph & the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat.  The Biblical saga of Joseph and his coat of many colors comes to vibrant life on stage in this delightful musical parable. Joseph, his father’s favorite son, is a boy blessed with prophetic dreams. Set to an engaging score that includes pop, country-and-western, rock-and-roll, balladeering and even Calypso musical styles, this Old Testament tale emerges as a timely and timeless story.
October 10 - Comedy Night. Improvisational comedy at its best, done by Lakeland actors with a seriously demented sense of humor. We do “Whose Line Is It Anyway” –style comedy with ideas submitted by you, the audience! Come and be a part of the entertainment!
Schedule change October 16, 17, 18*, 23, 24, 25*, 30, 31*, November 1* - The Best of Lakeland.  Join us for a program of your favorite musical numbers from past Lakeland shows!
The Producers.  This show has been cancelled.
November 20, 21, 22*, December 3**, 4, 5, 6*, 10**, 11 - A Christmas Carol.  There are many adaptations of A Christmas Carol out there, but only one Broadway version!  In 2004, this version became the basis of a NBC television spectacular featuring Kelsey Grammer as Scrooge. Now this holiday treat will delight Lakeland audiences as it has annually in New York City for so many years!
Lakeland Singers December 19 - The Lakeland Singers. The holiday concert that our members look forward to every year returns with a mix of old favorites and a spicy variety of new Yule tunes that will have you cheering and singing along! Happy Holidays!
